Recycle Utah started the Summit County Green Business program eight years ago. Since then, the program has grown thanks to help from Park City Municipal, Summit County, Park City Community Foundation and the Park City Chamber of Commerce.
The website provides resources, learning opportunities and support to businesses committed to sustainability.
Local businesses can earn points by completing sustainable actions across five categories: energy, water, materials and waste, transportation and community and equity. Those points earn the business a sustainability score residents can check online.
