Highway 189 will be reduced to one lane each direction starting at 5 a.m. near the turn for Wallsburg.
The marathon begins outside Wallsburg before merging onto U.S. 189, traveling down Provo Canyon and ending at Center Street in Provo.
All lanes will reopen Saturday afternoon.
