The Park City Library's Spring 2024 art exhibit features watercolor artist Alicia Vineyard and interdisciplinary artist Nina Miller.
Basin Recreation kicks off summer with a 5K fun run, featuring powdered paint stations that will colorfully entertain. A 1-mile run and a 100-yard dash (ages 4 and under) will follow. Held at Willow Creek Park on June 8 from 9am-Noon. Cost is $15 per person or $50 per family. Basin Rec is also looking for volunteers to help during the event! Park City Library formally requests the honor of your company for high tea on Saturday, May 18th at either 11am OR 2pm. Come and enjoy live music, tea, hot chocolate, and delicate finger foods and snacks. Superheroes, princesses, or friends dressed in their best are welcome! Take the family to Park City Library for Family Storytime on Saturday May 11th at 10am! An interactive, early literacy program that will entertain your preschooler and build language skills. Kimball Art's exhibit "Under Construction" will be open from March 8-May 26 from 10:00-5:00 pm. The exhibit brings together the work of two renowned built landscape photographers. Lewis Baltz (1945-2014), captured Park City's rapid growth in the late 1970s as his images of Prospector Park describe its dramatic transformation from a former mining town into a thriving ski resort. Artist Rodrigo Valenzuela in his series American-Type, responds today to Baltz's work. For more information, go to kimballartcenter.org
Park City Library hosts a celebration to Mom and all the other strong women in your life on Saturday, May 11 anytime between 11am and 1:00pm. Head over to the Park City Library to make crafts that you can give away for Mother's Day as a token of your appreciation. Fun fact: did you know that Mother's Day is celebrated on different days in different countries? Whenever it is celebrated, Mother's Day honors and celebrates moms and women, for their impact on society.

Habrá para hacer manualidades que se pueden regalar para el Día de la Madre como muestra de tu agradecimiento. Pásate por la Biblioteca en cualquier moment entre las 11:00 y las 13:00 hrs. ¿Sabías tú que diferentes países celebran el Día de la Madre en diferentes días? En los EE. UU. y varios otros países, es el segundo domingo de mayo. Pero se celebra en México, Guatemala y El Salvador el 10 de mayo, en Paraguay el 15 de mayo, en Bolivia el 27 de mayo y en Nicaragua el 30 de mayo. La Argentina lo celebra el tercer domingo de octubre y Panamá el 8 de diciembre. Cuando sea que se celebra, el Día de la Madre honra y celebra las mamás y las mujeres, al igual que su impacto en la sociedad.
The Summit County Stormwater Coalition and the Summit County Planning Department invite everyone to the 2rd annual “Trails, Trash and Tunes” party on Saturday, May 11th. The event will take place from 12pm - 4pm at the Wanship Trailhead (out towards Hoytsville) and it's a great way to welcome in springtime and celebrate the Earth with some rail trail cleanup, stormwater education and more!
There will be LIVE music from Pixie and the Partygrass Boys, presented by Mountaintown Music, along with food for purchase, a 21+ beer garden, and a "Kids Corner" with coloring books and activities courtesy of the Summit County Library.
