The free festivities begin Monday evening with the Backhoe Rodeo at the Wasatch County Events Complex. Public works personnel from the county, Heber City and Midway compete to show off their skills with heavy equipment.
On Tuesday, locals can join a valley-wide scavenger hunt to learn more about what public works staff do and where they work. Participants will visit locations around the Heber Valley to collect puzzle pieces, with prizes for anyone who completes the puzzle.
Public Works Week ends Wednesday with a “Party in the Park” from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The gathering at Southfield Park includes free food, a pie-eating contest, mechanical bull, face-painting and a Paws for Life pet adoption booth.
