Talisker has filed counter claims against the owners of the Park City Mountain Resort, re-asserting and offering more details on a claim that the Mountain Resort knowingly committed fraud in order to hang onto the Resort's Lease of 3700 acres making up the bulk of its ski terrain. Talisker Land Holdings, the landlord for the ski mountain, maintains the lease expired on April 30, 2011. They allege the Mountain Resort's corporate executives and counsel didn't send out a letter extending the lease until May 2nd, but knowingly backdated the letter to April 30th. The counter claim says that no only should the court evict the Resort from the ski mountain, but Talisker is entitled to the benefits and profits the Park City Mountain Resort has enjoyed form its unlawful use of the land - which would include the past two ski seasons. KPCW's Rick Brough has more.
