Christina Yeates

A wildfire 4.5 miles southeast of Strawberry Reservoir has burned 6,600 acres since Sunday afternoon. As of Midnight Sunday, the fire is 0% contained.

According to The Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands, the 'Dollar Ridge Fire' started around 1:00 pm Sunday on private property and moved aggressively onto national forest land. By Sunday evening 10 structures were threatened by the fire, as many as 7 of those are cabins.  And homes and cabins along Strawberry River and Camelot resort are on pre-evacuation notice as the fire moves towards Duchesne County.

The fire is believed to be human caused. KPCW will update information about the Dollar Ridge Fire as information becomes available.
