Summit County officials were able to locate a hunter after he went missing.
Summit County Sheriff’s Department reports that a 56-year-old man from South Jordan became lost while hunting in the Christensen Ranch/Haynes Ranch area of Upper Chalk Creek on Halloween night. Law enforcement was unable to get to the area due to the roads being too rough for patrol vehicles to access. The Department of Public Safety deployed a helicopter that quickly found the man. The man did not require medical attention. He was taken back to his hunting camp.
