The Park City School District and Park City Education Foundation will hold a webinar to present the Back To School plan to begin classes on Aug. 20.
Superintendent Jill Gildea, Associate Superintendent of Wellness Ben Belnap, and Latino Community Relations Supervisor Eric Esquival comprise the webinar’s panel. Park City Education Foundation Executive Director Abby McNulty will moderate.
Earlier this month, Gov. Gary Herbert asked all school districts to create guidelines that provide a roadmap showing health and safety protocols that would allow those who want to return to school to do so. He also issued a mask mandate for all school districts which also includes school bus transit.
The board of education held a special meeting Tuesday to consider the district’s plan to prepare facilities, faculty, and students for a safe return to school this fall.
The back-to-school panel is scheduled for 5 p.m. and Gildea will take the first 30 to 40 minutes to present details of the plan. The panel will be open for public questions submitted in advance via email at communications@pcschools.us. The webinar will be broadcast live on Facebook.
