2020 Live PC Give PC Tops All Records

Park City Community Foundation

It was another record-breaking year for the 2020 edition of Live PC Give PC... not only by the amount of money raised – but also by the number of donors who contributed.

Nearly $3.5 million dollars was raised from more than 6-thousand donors for the 10th annual Live PC Give PC held last week. Katie Wright the Executive Director of the Park City Community Foundation that hosts the annual day of giving has  the final totals...

“We had a whopping 6,043 donors on Friday and it’s just unreal,” Wright said. “We had set an ambitious goal of 5500 and we are just  overwhelmed by once again, the way that people who love and live in Park City step up to be generous and support nonprofits. And the final dollar total?  $3,484,104 – a million more than last year.”

She says it wasn’t one thing that pushed them over the top.

“We had more matching grants, we had more online donations, we had more offline donations,” she said. “Across the board people stepped up, gave more and encouraged their friends to do so.”

Co-Chair of the event Mike Ruzek says community members understand that this year was a big challenge to area nonprofits due to the pandemic.

“This has been an interesting year and clearly a time of need in our community  and so the community has stepped up just like they did earlier in the year with the Community Response fund and so, that’s part of it and I think the other side is the efforts that were put in by all the nonprofits in town to really raise awareness and turn to their bases. A  million over last year - couldn’t be happier.”

Once again Mountain Trails Foundation was at the top with donations raised and number of donors - even hitting a new milestone with more than a thousand donors. Park City Education Foundation was in 2nd place and Summit Land Conservancy was third overall. The top three of each of the leaderboards received additional funds from sponsors.

The 2021 edition will likely be planned for the first Friday in November.
