Utah’s Department of Health Reported just over 2,080 new COVID-19 cases Sunday.
Summit County saw 23 new cases, and last Sunday - for comparison - Summit reported 41 new infections.

And in Wasatch County, the health department reported 18 new cases, last Sunday the county saw 41.

Summit County’s seven-day average of positive laboratory tests is nearing 17%, and just over 27% of tests are coming back positive on average in Wasatch County.
The percent for positive test results on Sunday in the state is about 21.5%. The statewide 7-day rolling average is almost 25% which is down from Saturday’s average.
Utah’s Department of Health reported 70 new hospitalizations Sunday. There are 548 people in the hospital for COVID-19, in the state. Nearly 102% of referral center ICU beds are in use.
The state reported 17 new deaths — there have been 1,055 COVID-19 related deaths since the start of the pandemic in Utah. Summit County has seen five COVID-19 deaths and Wasatch County has reported 13.
A statewide mask order is in effect until further notice.
