Summit County reported another COVID-19 death Sunday.
The Summit County man who died of COVID-19 was between 45-64 years-old, and was not hospitalized at the time of his death. Summit County has now seen nine COVID-19 deaths since the start of the pandemic. To date, 1,935 Utahns have died due to COVID-19.
The Utah Department of Health announced 465 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, which is about 250 fewer cases than the state saw at the same time last week.
Summit County reported eight new cases, In comparison, last Sunday, Summit saw five.

Wasatch County reported four new cases. Last Sunday, the county saw eight.

There were 4,365 people tested for the first time, with 8,422 total tests administered. The statewide 7-day rolling average of percent positivity for “tests over tests” is around 5%.
The department reported 31 new hospitalizations. There are 203 people in the hospital for COVID-19, in the state. About 74% of all referral center ICU beds are in use.
A reported, 14,243 people were vaccinated for COVID-19 since Saturday, bringing the total number to 716,536 doses administered. Both Summit and Wasatch Counties are registering to vaccinate residents 65-years or older and people with certain comorbidities.
