Heber House Fire Destroys One Home, Residents Uninjured

Heber City Police Department

A house fire in Heber Friday evening destroyed one home and damaged other neighboring structures.

According to Wasatch County Fire spokesperson Janet Carson, the district received reports of a house fire on Skyline Drive in Heber just before 6:30 Friday evening.

Carson said the fire moved quickly and the home was fully enveloped in flames by the time emergency crews were on the scene.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation but Carson said the residents were not in the home at the time of the fire and residents of neighboring homes were evacuated.

Wasatch Fire said the home is considered to be a complete loss and neighboring homes suffered heat and smoke damage.

Heber City Police briefly closed Daniels Canyon Road as well as Skyline Drive. The police department says roads are now open but restricted to residential traffic only as of Saturday morning.
