A multi-vehicle crash at the roundabout at Deer Valley Drive and Marsac Avenue this morning sent three people to the hospital, downed power lines and caused all-day delays throughout town.
The westbound portion of the roundabout opened back up just after 3:30 p.m. but the Eastbound side remains closed, with traffic rerouted onto Aerie Drive and a shuttle providing transit service between Snow Park and the Transit Center for those trying to get to the concert at Deer Valley.
According to the Fire District, a dump truck headed down Marsac entered the roundabout and struck two cars before crashing through a concrete barrier at 10am.
Deer Valley Drive is currently closed to traffic due to downed power lines. Traffic is being being diverted at the roundabout to Main Street.
People traveling to or from Deer Valley today were advised to use Aire Drive and Mellow Mountain Road.
Park City Municipal also announced transit service to Deer Valley has temporarily been suspended. Summit County’s High Valley Transit announced some of their busses were delayed by the accident as well.
KPCW will be monitoring this situation and provide updates as they become available.
