The “We All Belong” kindness award recognizes students and staff who help lift up their peers.
It’s part of an effort to stand against bullying, harassment and discrimination in the district. The goal is for everyone to feel a sense of belonging in school and the community.
Each school and grade will nominate one student per month for the kindness award and faculty will choose the recipient.
An educator will be nominated monthly by their peers to be awarded the Outstanding Leadership award.
Principals and PTO members will give out those awards.
At the end of the year, one student and one educator will each be awarded a grand prize; a $2,500 scholarship for the student and $1,000 for the educator.
The Park City Education Foundation and the Park City Community Foundation have helped to provide the scholarship money for the year-end prizes.
