Park City Municipal says the project will improve walking and biking access through the Thaynes neighborhood. The city says it will also make the area safer.
When complete, the area will have over 2,000 feet of new pathway, sidewalk and buffered spaces for pedestrians and cyclists.
Over 80% of the project is grant-funded.
Park City Municipal is a financial supporter of KPCW.
This week, Phase 1 of the Thaynes Pathway project broke ground.
