An expanded parking lot is now open at Park City’s Mid Mountain trailhead off Marsac Avenue.
The new trailhead has increased parking for hikers and bikers from 15 to 23 spaces.
Plans from developer Sommet Blanc LLC originally called for 29 new stalls and were changed to accommodate a bus stop and extend a retaining wall.
The upgraded trailhead parking is part of the company’s nearby Sommet Blanc development next to the Montage. When complete, the development will include 49 new residential units along with a new restaurant at the base of Deer Valley’s Ruby Express chairlift.
The improvements to the Mid-Mountain trailhead were one of the conditions the Park City Planning Commission required to approve the development.
