Stu Stanek

Stu is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in mass communications. Out of college he worked in radio sales and management with the Milwaukee Journal Company. He then moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., where he became the general manager of Citadel Communications. He was promoted to COO of Citadel after moving to Salt Lake City in 1992. There he managed markets and helped with the oversight of acquisitions and expansion taking the company from three stations in two markets to 210 radio stations in 40 markets.

In 2002 he became the general manager of Clear Channel/iHeart MEDIA and was elevated to regional vice president for the company in 2006. He serves as the regional president for the company overseeing Salt Lake City, Farmington, Albuquerque, Gallup, New Mexico, El Paso and Honolulu. 

He has served on the boards of Citadel Communications, Guadalupe School and the Friends of Animals in Park City, Utah. When not working he enjoys biking, skiing, motorcycling and traveling with his two children Derek and Lauren.
