Zhaoxia Pu, a researcher from the University of Utah talks about the study of fog and Dennis Baldocchi, Professor of Biometeorology at the University of California, Berkeley share how to determine the health of an ecosystem.

On this episode of This Green Earth: Zhaoxia Pu, a researcher from the University of Utah who is helping lead a study on the origins and conditions behind fog. There remains much to learn about the formation and prediction of its occurrence and Pu helps break it all down.

Then, in the second part of the show, they speak with Dennis Baldocchi, Professor of Biometeorology at the University of California, Berkeley about a recent study suggesting that the health of an ecosystem can be determined using three variables: a vegetations’ ability to uptake carbon, its efficiency in using carbon, and its efficiency in using water.
