It’s time for the fourth annual Paint the Town Blue event. Saturday people are invited to show local law enforcement that Park City has their back. Melissa Allison has more:
The organizers are encouraging residents and businesses to decorate their homes, vehicles and even themselves with blue ribbons, blue balloons or whatever strikes your fancy, on Saturday.
Organizer MeriAnn Boxall is married to a local police officer and said Saturday is a great opportunity to connect with police officers.
"Its just an event to show our local police officers how much we appreciate them and how thankful we are for them," Boxall said. "And to show them that we are really there for them and have their backs in the community.”
You can meet members of the Park City Police Department at The Market on Saturday from 11 to 1:30 p.m.
Boxall says to come hungry because they’re preparing a BBQ with all of the proceeds will going to the Fraternal Order of the Police.
