Olivia Jaramillo was born and reared in México. She migrated to the US at age 14 and graduated high school in Texas, and started hher military service after graduationg where she served in the Us Air Force. She was part of the campaign against Terror in Iraq, participated in humanitarian missions in the continent of Africa and was based in Europe for over 7 years. As a civilian, Olivia has shared her story to bring aid to the members of the community with which she identifies , such as immigrant, veteran, Latinx, and as a trans woman and LGBTQ+ member. She ran as part of the Utah Democratic Party in the recent elections.
Olivia Jaramillo nació es nacida y criada en México. Ella emigró a los Estados Unidos a los 14 años de edad, y terminó la preparatoria en el estado de Texas y al concluir empezó su servicio militar en la fuerza aérea. Ella formo parte de la guerra contra el terrorismo en Iraq, sirvió misiones humanitarias a el continente africano, y estuvo basada en Europa por mas de 7 años. Una de sus últimas asignaciones militares fue encargarse de la guardia de honor militar de la base Hill Air Force Base en el Norte de Utah, de donde se retiró del servicio militar en el 2019. Desde entonces, Olivia ha compartido su historia y luchado por las comunidades con las que se identifica, como inmigrante, veterana, Latina/Hispana, y además como mujer transgénero y parte de la comunidad LGBTQ. Olivia además forma parte del partido Demócrata del Estado de Utah, y fue candidata a la legislatura estatal en las más recientes elecciones.
