Capt. Nicholas Fricchione details the 2026 90-pound Rucksack Challenge, a ski mountaineering event making its Park City debut Feb. 18th. It honors the U.S. Army's 10th Mountain Division World War II legacy. The division was instrumental in fighting the Germans, and made a historic nighttime ascent of Italy's Riva Ridge in 1945. The division also laid the groundwork for the American outdoor industry after the war.
