Park City Councilmember Tana Toly

Park City Councilmember Tana Toly

Park City Councilmember Tana Toly recaps Thursday's meeting, including a discussion of the city's five strategic priorities: affordability, mobility, sustainability, economic vitality, and Olympic legacy. Regarding sustainability, Toly says city operations achieved 100% renewable electricity through a new solar project. The council also discussed the ice arena, which leaks and needs other facility fixes. Toly says a $40 million expansion is too costly for taxpayers alone and the council plans to pursue baseline repairs under $5 million while seeking external partners. Finally, preparation for the 2034 Olympics is underway with a focus on regional transportation and revitalizing Sweet Alley to enhance downtown economic viability and improve the community's historic entryway.
