Local News Hour - February 24, 2017

It was a busy morning on The Local News Hour!  It started with Park City Fire District Chief Paul Hewitt talking about the snowy roads and how to protect yourself and your home with all the new snowfall.  Then Park City Mayor Jack Thomas and Assistant City Manager Matt Dias talk about proposed legislation regarding short-term, nightly rentals (AirBnB, VRBO) that could prevent the city from banning those rentals altogether.  (Right now there are several neighborhoods in Park City that don't allow them.)   And then... drum roll... a BIG announcement about Bonanza Flats from Summit County Councilman Chris Robinson.   The county is giving a large sum, $5,750,000, towards the purchase of the 1400 acres in order to preserve it as open space.  And finally, Troy Powell, the Artistic Director of Ailey II and Terri Orr from the Park City Intsitute discuss the performances tonight and tomorrow night at the Eccles Center.
