This Green Earth - June 6, 2017

On June 6th, host Nell Larson was joined by guest co-host Katy Wang.

During the first half of the show, they spoke with Fiona Stafford, professor of English language and literature at Oxford University, and author of The Sunday Times Nature Book of the Year.  It’s called The Long, Long Life of Trees and is a lyrical tribute to the diversity of trees, their incredible histories and characteristics, and ever-evolving meanings to our society.

During the second half of the hour, the show turned to a local topic: the environmental and experiential education at Park City Day School.  Through integrating these concepts across disciplines, they aim to nurture a love of the environment, and impart skills that can be used throughout their lives.
