Government offices, banks and post offices will be closed Monday for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The federal holiday honors the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., a Baptist minister and civil rights leader credited with significantly shifting race relations across the U.S.

To mark the holiday, national parks will waive entrance fees Monday.

Here in Utah, state liquor stores will be closed as will all Park City, Summit County Library branches and Wasatch County Library.

The PC MARC will be open regular hours.

Trash pickup in Summit County won’t change but Wasatch County’s Monday garbage collection will be delayed until Tuesday.
