Flag of the United States of America by Park City Hall at half-staff for Peace Officers Memorial Day May 15, 2025.

Memorial Day is a day of remembrance to honor and mourn military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

Gov. Spencer Cox has ordered Utah and U.S. flags at all state buildings be lowered to half-staff Monday to recognize the federal holiday.

Flags will be lowered on government property at 12:01 a.m. May 26 and return to full-staff at noon.

The governor invites all private citizens, businesses and organizations to join in this tribute to our nation’s fallen heroes.
