Summit County Deputy Daniela Anderson will speak and answer questions about U.S. immigration policies and issues. It’s in partnership with the school’s Segunda Taza de Café group.
There will be coffee, baked items and an opportunity drawing for gift cards.
Park City Library Spanish Services Librarian Flor Santa Maria told KPCW Tuesday there’s more fear and confusion in the local Latino community following the reelection of President Donald Trump.
Trump has ramped up raids by Immigration and Customs Enforcement and promised mass deportations of immigrants lacking permanent legal status.
Gov. Spencer Cox says Utah will support those efforts and focus on those who have committed crimes.

Summit County Sheriff Frank Smith has previously told KPCW he wants to reach out to and strengthen connections with the Latino community during his tenure.
Deputy Anderson has regularly hosted informational sessions on a variety of topics in the past.
