Basin Recreation’s Run-A-Muk dog park is back open for the summer.

Recreation crews say the annual month-long closure is important to allow native grasses and wildflowers time to regrow before the busy season.

Over the last month volunteers cleaned the area and collected more than 160 pounds of poop and trash from the open space.
