Coalville Mayor Mark Marsh was honored with the Special Achievement in Pedestrian Safety Award at the 2025 Zero Fatalities Conference.

Coalville Mayor Mark Marsh has been honored for making his city’s streets safer for pedestrians at the 2025 Zero Fatalities Safety Summit.

Marsh was awarded the Special Achievement in Pedestrian Safety for his efforts to implement and fund safety improvements like better sidewalk access.

After he was hit by a car as a child, Marsh is also an advocate for child safety, the Summit County Health Department says.

The Zero Fatalities Summit in Sandy last month focused on traffic safety, pedestrian and bike safety, enforcement, engineering, driver education, child passenger safety and other topics related to reaching Utah’s goal of zero fatalities on the roads.
