The incorporation effort was started by Wasatch County homeowners who want more say in what happens to the land around them.
Mark Wilson, River View’s primary sponsor, has said he’s concerned about Heber City’s annexation of about 95 acres for the North Village developments and worries more of the North Fields will become part of the city.
He also told Wasatch County leaders in April that he wants the Utah Department of Transportation to give landowners a greater voice in conversations about the bypass.
Only “specified landowners” who own at least 1% of the land value within the boundaries, or at least 10% of the private land area can ask to be excluded from River View. Exclusions also can’t be granted if doing so would create an island inside the proposed town limits.
All requests for inclusion or exclusion must be submitted to the county clerk’s office by Thursday.
