CelebrateUtahWildlife.org, a grassroots arts, science and community engagement initiative will host the Bart the Bear Film Fest Nov. 15-16 at the Avon Theater in Heber.

Bart the Bear (1977-2000) was a Heber-based movie and television actor trained by Doug and Lynne Seus. This festival will celebrate Bart's legacy with Bart movie screenings, Bart storytelling with Doug and Lynne and a book release party for Lynne’s new memoir, The Grizzlies and Us. There will also be conversations with grizzly bear advocate Doug Peacock and staff from the Seus' nonprofit, Vital Ground Foundation.

Friday's line-up will include a mural reception, book release party, and a Q&A with Doug and Lynne. Saturday's festivities include various screenings and book signings. Tickets are available at celebrateutahwildlife.org.
