Senate District 26 Forum Part 1

The Park City Unit of the League of Women Voters, hosted the candidates for Senate District 26 in a forum in Heber City on Wednesday June 13th. Republican candidates Jack Rubin and Brian Gorum, Democratic candidates Pat Vaughn and Eileen Gallagher and United Utah candidate Cathy Callow-Heusser were all in attendance. Republican Primary Candidate Ron Winterton was unable to attend.

Part 1 features the candidates introducing themselves and answering the following questions

"The better boundaries initiative is intended to address gerrymandering in Utah, it will be on the ballot in November. Do you support this initiative? Will you accept the findings of the independent redistricting commission?"

"How would you address the issue of gun violence particularly in the schools? While balancing 2nd amendment right to bear arms?"

You can find part 2 and part 3 posted below.
