Park City Board of Realtors Welcomes New CEO Jamie Hoppe

Jamie Hoppe is going through her first winter, and New Year’s as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Park City Board Realtors.

Hoppe started in Park City on October 1st, and her previous position in real-estate was in the South.

“Prior to coming here, I worked for the greater Nashville association of realtors, where I was their Chief Operating Officer. Started the process through the National Association of Realtors for a realtor certified executive position which would move me into a CEO role. Started looking at opportunities across the country and told my family that I would only move to a place if it was somewhere that my friends and family wanted to visit. The opening came available this spring here in Park City and started the interview process over the summer, came out to visit, went home told my family if they offer me the job I’m going. It’s such a beautiful community and I’m so excited to be here.”

She said her family is still back in Nashville, since she has a son still in high school. She said it’s an exciting time for the industry, and it’s not slowing down in Park City.

“Typically, a lot of markets slow down in the winter but here as you know it’s a busy time. Because you have so many people that are actually coming to visit and to participate in activities that Park City has to offer and they’re starting to look at this as either a potential second home or an opportunity to move here. I know that since I’ve been here this weekend and been out a little bit in the community many people from New York and Connecticut saying, ‘oh I can’t believe you get to live here that’s amazing.’ And, ‘we’ve thought about that.’ And I’m like well you should come on, it’s a great community.”

The year-end statistics should be coming in soon.

“So typically, quarterly we do what we call stats forum within our offices and it’s very highly attended by our members and they come in and we break down the previous quarter. So those stats will be—a lot of closings obviously probably happened on Monday the 31st to end out the year. So, those closings will get processed and that data will come in over the course of the next couple of weeks. On January 11th we will swear in our new 2019 board. Our new board president is Sheila Hall of Berkshire Hathaway. We’re super excited with a fresh year, fresh start. With some of the changes that have occurred over the past year we really just want to get out into the community. Make the community aware of what it is that we do, why we do it and that we value this great city that we have here. We want to continue to be the pulse of what goes on here in Park City.”
