How To Support The Family Of Fallen Summit County Sheriff Sgt

After a brief illness, Summit County Sheriff's Office Detective Sergeant Eric Redd passed away this week. 

Sergeant Redd died in his Summit County home on Monday, February 4th. According to a statement from Summit County, Sgt. Redd had worked for the Sheriff's Office for more than 16 years, and has more than 20 years of law enforcement service. 

Sergeant Redd became ill over the past several days and was being seen by medical professionals.  The investigation into his death is ongoing - the cause of his death is unknown at this time.  

Sergeant Redd was a decorated service member of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife and children. The Utah Fraternal Order of Police Foundation is raising money for his family.
