A cabin in the High Uintas near Kamas was destroyed early Sunday morning.
Summit County reported that personnel from South Summit Fire District responded to a cabin fire at about 3:30 am that morning. The cabin was on Hoyt Peak, in the woods about halfway between Highway 150 to the south, and Weber Canyon to the north.
No one was home at the time of the blaze. After burning down the structure, the first spread to some nearby trees and brush. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
