The Wasatch County Sheriff Office reports that, due to poor road conditions, Highway 189 is closed in both directions in Provo Canyon.
The highway is closed at mile post 8 on the Utah County side and at mile post 19 on the Wasatch County side.
The sheriff’s office asks that drivers use an alternate route. Parley’s Canyon is currently open, as an option, though the Park City Fire District cautions that traffic is slow and roads are slick through Parley's. Wasatch County Sheriff says it’s unknown when Highway 189 will reopen.
