Summit County Treasurer Seeks Another Term

Summit County’s Treasurer says she is running for re-election.

Corrie Forsling told KPCW in an e-mail that she has served for 9 years, and 2020 will be her tenth tax collection year.

She said that her department will continue to make improvements in service and technology.   She said that two years ago, they implemented a system that allows property owners to manage their own automatic and recurring payment plans.

She also said that this year, they’re starting a platform for owners to manage online communications with her office, such as notices on property values and taxes.

Forsling also said they run three DMV offices in the county which have received positive reviews for service and short wait times.

The filing window for federal, state and local races in Utah this year is open from March 13th to the 19th.

Known for getting all the facts right, as well as his distinctive sign-off, Rick covered Summit County meetings and issues for 35 years on KPCW. He now heads the Friday Film Review team.
