The Wasatch County Health Department reported 47 new cases. Last Wednesday the county saw 34.

Summit County’s seven-day average of positive laboratory tests is currently about 12.5%, and 25.5% of tests are coming back positive in Wasatch County. The percent for positive test results in the state is 22%, which is down from Tuesday’s percentage. Only a month ago, the state’s average of positive tests was about 17%.

UDOH reported 83 new hospitalizations Wednesday. There are 570 people in the hospital for COVID-19, in the state. And about 82% of all ICU beds are currently in use.

Summit and Wasatch Counties along with 24 other counties in the state are in the high risk level of Utah’s COVID-19 transmission index. There have been some alterations to the transmission index. Now, masks are required statewide, and limits on social gathers are suggested not required.

The Utah Department of Health will not be updating case counts or the coronavirus dashboard on Thursday because of the holiday. And many testing sites will be closed Thanksgiving day, including Park City Hospital and the University of Utah Redstone Clinic.
