Heber City Council Meeting Includes Clean Air Ordinance Discussion, RAP Tax, And Speed Limits

The Heber City Council meeting starts at 5:30 PM on Tuesday. They'll cover several items in the work meeting, then start the regular meeting at 7 PM.

The work meeting will start with 45 minutes allocated to a presentation by Utopia Fiber Representative Roger Timmerman.

The planning staff will lead a discussion on amending a section of the ordinance 2021-15 referring to Dwellings. You can find a linkto the staff report on KPCW.org.

The Council will discuss the planning department's presentation reviewing a draft of the land Use Authority Code Amendment. The item was last discussed in the April 6 meeting. Staff is looking for more input before proposing they take action.

The regular meeting will open for public comments.

After updates on the City's COVID-19 response and a discussion on the Community Alliance for main Street, the Council will recess as the Heber City Council to convene the Community Reinvestment Agency Board. They'll review and give direction for the CRA project area plan and budget. This portion is expected to take 30 minutes.

Council will reconvene as the Heber City Council and discuss the City-wide Public Improvement District Policy. You can find a draft of the policyon KPCW.org.

Accessory Dwelling Units will be discussed and presented in a staff report by Planning Director Tony Kohler.  The Jordanelle Ridge Plat C, which is located at Hillwood Drive and State Road 32 will be presented by Landmark Design.
Councilmember Heidi Franco returns with a review and discussion of a clean air ordinance, which she will ask the Council for a public hearing in June.

Councilmember Ryan Stack will bring the discussion about speed limit concerns on Mill Road.

The City Manager, Matt Brower, has an update on the Recreation, Arts and Parks, RAP tax initiative. The issue may go to the Wasatch County voters for the November election.

Brower will also present an amendment to the Sawmill Subdivision to include a site for an Elementary School.
