Want to talk to someone in Washington? Tomorrow’s your chance.
Utah Congressman Blake Moore, Republican representing Utah’s first Congressional district, will host a Town Hall event Friday August 20 at the Richins Building Auditorium in Park City. The hour-long meeting runs from 6-7 p.m., and Moore’s office is encouraging residents to come engage in the political process.
A flyer sent to constituents asked for input on topics Moore should cover and offered a checklist including inflation, housing affordability, crime, the national deficit, abortion and immigration.
The Richins building is located at 1885 West Ute Boulevard in Park City inside the Summit County library building in Kimball Junction. It holds around 50 people, and a representative from Moore’s office said the town hall would adhere to Summit County COVID protocols. Masks are recommended.
Moore represents Utah’s first district in Congress. He’s held town halls around northern Utah counties this month. Following his visit to Park City, he has town halls scheduled next week in Logan, Brigham City, Morgan and Ogden.
On Wednesday Moore toured the Uintas, driving up the Mirror Lake Highway with forest service officials, representatives of the governor’s office, the Utah Division of Natural Resources and Arkansas Congressman Bruce Westerman, who is the ranking member on the House Committee on Natural Resources.
Wednesday’s tour was focused on discussing forest health and management and wildfire prevention.
