It’s time to get costumes ready and break out the candy bags in Wasatch County.
The Heber Halloween Fest, happening for the first time this year, is kicking off the weekend tomorrow in Heber City.
The Community Alliance for Main Street is coordinating with downtown businesses, City Hall and local schools for the evening.
The festivities begin Friday at 4 p.m. with trick-or-treating on Main Street. There’ll be a designated path from Timber Knives, located just south of Heber City Park, leading to City Hall.
Trick-or-treaters can then check out a carnival at City Hall around 5. They’ll find food trucks, doughnuts and cider there, adding Halloween spirit to the popular gathering area with a fire pit and open lawns.
Clubs from Wasatch High School and the local middle schools are presenting the carnival. It’ll last until 8 p.m.
Other events taking place during the carnival are a costume parade at 6, then a glow stick dance party at 7.
City Hall is located at 75 North Main Street in Heber.
