BRANDed PC Back For The Holidays

Park City Summit County Arts Council

BRANDed PC is once again coming up for the holiday season, this time for five days on Park City’s Main Street. It aims to salute local creative entrepreneurs.

The event will take place Tuesday through Saturday at 268 Main Street, at the O.P. Rockwell location—specifically, in the Rockwell Room over the lounge.

It is organized by the Park City Summit County Arts Council. Managing Director Jocelyn Scudder talked about the pop-up shop.

“BRANDed PC is a temporary event experience that showcases a curated set of Summit County creative entrepreneurs.” Scudder explained, “We tell their story and we promote their product. It’s really a one-stop shop for locals and visitors to interact with our local brands and makers. The pop-up shop experience is really designed as a gallery meets editorial spotlight, meets matchmaker between the community and local creatives. So we will feature over 40 brands who either started their brand in Summit County or are currently based in Summit County. It’s a really eclectic mix of products. We’ll be representing household goods, artisan food items, accessories, toys, clothing, outdoor gear, books, cards and of course chocolate.”

One of the featured businesses is Tandem Chocolates. Proprietor Phyllis Robinson said the BRANDed event is a big help for a start-up business.

“We started actually three years ago on December 15th we got our last business permits and things like that.” Robinson said, “Never a good time to start a chocolate shop 10 days before the holidays. Last year we were at Branded, the first year we were at BRANDedwe were just doing sampling. Last year we were there as a vendor. It was just an amazing experience for us as a very small business. We don’t run a retail business, we can’t afford to quite honestly. We cannot afford the rent for a retail space in this town, particularly for a startup. BRANDed has provided us a great platform last year to really get our product out. To connect with people both from the sales at BRANDed but also the marketing that it provided for us and the new relationships it created for us and the new customer base.”

BRANDed PC starts with a Tuesday launch party 7:30 to 9:00 and from the 19th to the 22nd it operates from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. On Saturday it’ll feature a Christmas tree workshop 3:00-4:00 pm and chocolate workshop 4:00-5:00 pm.
