Park City Municipal is having its annual spring projects open house Tuesday. The city hosts two events annually—one in spring, one in fall—to update residents on the projects and initiatives Park City is tackling.
Representatives from many of Park City Municipal’s offices will be available to discuss construction projects, including the Housing Department, which will provide an update on the Woodside affordable housing developments; and the Water Department, with an update on the Three Kings Water Treatment facility. The Park City Community Foundation will present on progress towards Park City’s social equity critical priority; and the Park City School District will also be present to give an update on its master planning project.
Park City Community Engagement Manager Linda Jager says residents can come learn about the projects, but they can also make their voices heard.
“Yes, it’s a great opportunity to give input and ask specific questions; how these projects may impact access to homes, and so on and so forth," Jager said. "It’s a great opportunity just to talk directly to the project managers.”
Transportation Planning Manager Alfred Knotts will be available to talk about Park City’s long-range transportation plan. Park City announced in February its goal of reducing gateway corridor traffic by 25% by 2030. Knotts says he’s looking for input on projects and prioritizing resources, and he’ll also provide bus service updates.
“We also have some information there on some modifications to transit routes and transit services going into the spring shoulder season and into the summer," Knotts said.
The spring projects open house starts at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, at the Community Room at the Park City Library.
