The Mountain Life - April 22, 2020 - Best Of

the_mountain_life.jpg

Lynn and Pete have the day off as we continue the remodel of our studios. Enjoy this rebrodcast of The Mountain Life from February 5th, 2020.

First interview:

Nutrition researcher and NYTimes bestselling author Neal Barnard, MD, joins The Mountain Life. His new book, Your Body In Balance, demonstrates how foods affect our hormones—and our health. Dr. Barnard shares the science behind how common conditions—like infertility, weight gain, menopausal symptoms, breast and prostate cancers, thyroid problems, and acne—are fueled by hormones that are hidden in or influenced by the foods we eat. Dr. Barnard is a faculty member of the George Washington University School of Medicine and is president of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine.

Second interview:

Psychotherapist Philippa Perry joins The Mountain Life to explore her new book, The Book You Wish Your Parents Had Read (And Your Children Will be Glad That You Did). She’s witty and she’s humorous, but she’s not judging you or telling you what you should do. She just points out how we can make better connections with our children and how we often react to our children based on our own emotional history.
