Wasatch County Search and Rescue
File: Bystander rescues boaters from sinking boat on Jordanelle Reservoir June 19, 2024.

Utah Division of Outdoor Recreation Boating Program Manager Ty Hunter talks about Utah's extensive water recreational opportunities and the importance of boating safety and wearing life jackets.

Hunter also highlights the dangers of cold water, which can cause hyperventilation and drowning, and the risks of intoxication on the water, which is treated similarly to driving under the influence.
