A Billion Butterflies

Dr. Jagadish Shukla is a renowned climate scientist and new author. He has just released a book titled, "A Billion Butterflies: A Life in Climate and Chaos Theory."

Lauded as an inspiring and informative memoir, the book shares Dr. Shukla's groundbreaking work, which revolutionized weather forecasting. Understanding dynamical seasonal prediction has changed the way we experience a thunderstorm and interpret a forecast.

Dr. Shukla has allowed scientists to see farther into the future weather patterns than previously thought possible, this has saved lives, allowed more people to be fed and gives us hope in a warming world.

Claire is the producer and co-host of This Green Earth and a volunteer DJ on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Chris is the co-host of “This Green Earth”, a weekly radio show covering environmental news and issues. Broadcast on KPCW, the NPR affiliate for Park City. He also sits on the boards of Recycle Utah and Summit Community Power Works.
