This Green Earth - November 8, 2016

Rob Davies will be giving a talk at the Santy Auditorium next Monday night the 14th.  The Talk is titled; Failure Is Not An Option and It will define the required changes all of us in Park City will have to perform if we have any hope of reducing the most dire consequences of a warming Wasatch Back. Dr. Davies and Judd Werner of the Citizens Climate Lobby join Chris in the first half of the show.  In the second half of the program, NOAA supported scientists working in the Hawaiian Archipelago are calling some of the recently discovered deep coral reefs found in the region’s “twilight zone” the most extensive on record.  Dr.  Randall Kosaki studies these deep coral reefs and joins Chris to discuss the role they play as marine nursery’s and sanctuaries.  And finally, Dee Downing, owner of Red Ant Works shares with us a process called Hugelkulur - a form of composting that uses rotting wood as a center piece of the decomposition process.

Co-host of KPCW's This Green Earth.
