The fair is Aug. 2 through Aug. 9 at the county fairgrounds in Coalville.
The demolition derby kicks off the first night at 7 p.m. The PRCA rodeo is a day longer this year, and will be Aug. 7, 8 and 9 at 8 p.m. with a drone show after the final two nights.
“I feel like this is something we've been working towards for four or five years now, and everything kind of came together this year,” fair organizer Tyler Orgill said.
The Little Buckaroo Rodeo is Aug. 5 and 6 at 6 p.m. Signup for the kids rodeo is free until midnight Aug. 3.
Admission to the rodeo and the county fair is still free. Demolition derby tickets are $22.
There are some environmentally-conscious changes: the fair will use some solar-powered generators and will not use styrofoam to-go containers.
Orgill said the fair has started staffing the garbage bins to help fairgoers sort their waste.
“I think that was great,” he said about years past. “The compost was able to stay here locally in Summit County, recycling was able to go where it needed to go and the trash went to the landfill.”
