Crews with UDOT clear snow from state Route 150, Guardsman Pass, in spring 2025.

The Utah Department of Transportation has started clearing snow from Guardsman Pass to open the seasonal road for the summer.

Crews have cleared more than half of the road but some areas are still buried in up to 11 feet of snow. UDOT is not yet sure when Guardsman will be ready to open.

So far Wolf Creek Summit, state Route 35, is the only open seasonal road in the state.

It’s unclear when Mirror Lake Highway, state Route 150, and East Canyon, state Route 65 will open for the season.
