He's also being sued by a cryptocurrency company trying to recover funds amid bankruptcy.

Court records indicate Calvin Spencer Rawe, 35, of Alpine, Wyoming, missed his initial court appearance April 18. It was virtual, not in-person.

Summit County prosecutors asked 3rd District Judge Richard Mrazik to issue an arrest warrant and he did on April 28, setting bail at $500.

The Summit County Jail roster indicated Rawe was not in custody as of May 7.

He’s facing one class A misdemeanor, accused of harassing a Park City police officer who was investigating his alleged attempts to harass someone “involved in the recent labor dispute with Vail Resorts.”

During the investigation, prosecutors say Rawe called the officer four times between Dec. 30 and Jan. 5, and used homophobic and anti-Asian slurs.

Prosecutors say it’s a hate crime, which makes the charges more severe. If convicted, Rawe could spend up to one year in jail and pay up to $2,500 in fines.

Separately, in federal bankruptcy court, Rawe is facing clawback proceedings from the bankrupt cryptocurrency lender Celsius Network.

Reuters reports Celsius founder Alex Mashinsky pleaded guilty to fraud last year. Prosecutors are asking for a 20-year prison sentence.

Before it was revealed to be insolvent, Celsius worked similar to a cryptocurrency bank. It allowed its customers to deposit cryptocurrencies and earn interest, and loaned money to investors backed up by their deposits.

The company says Rawe, and many other former customers, withdrew millions of dollars in the 90 days before it filed for bankruptcy in the New York Southern District. It’s asking the court to void those transfers.
